Okay, so I can’t help that I get a little teary, on occasion, when we’re photographing a wedding. I mean, how can I help it? We see people who love each other so much that they are committing their lives to each other. And the fact that we get to witness that? Pretty special, I’d say.
I may or may not have teared up a little during Sara and Al’s wedding. I’m not gonna tell you for sure, but I will say that I probably (maybe) had to search around in my camera bag for a kleenex. It’s pretty special thing to be part of something so special and these guys are no exception. One part of their day that really stood out to me were the minutes before they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. They had written letters to each other to read before their first glance. You can see a few photos of that moment in the post below… they were each on their own side of the corner of a building, reading the words they had for each other. Then they held hands, peeked around the corner, and boom: Love.
Their lovely ceremony was at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland, MN and their reception was at the Holiday Inn in New Ulm. We started out the day photographing at Schells Brewery in New Ulm (such a cool place!). It was a wonderful (warm, but wonderful) day!
P.S. Excuse my sentimentality, folks. Cory just made me coffee for the hundred millionth time, and I started thinking about love.![]()
