Maddie — 2011 Lakeville South High School Senior

Maddie brought a lot of great ideas to her session… she wanted photos on a beach and pics with her guitar.  We went to a few different locations in Minneapolis and even waded out into the water at the beach. It was such a fun session!

Haylee — 2011 Mound-Westonka H.S. Senior

I had a fantastic time photographing Haylee. We couldn’t have asked for a better day light-wise and she was such a relaxed, fun model. Love sessions like that!

Jamie — 2011 Senior

We came into Jamie’s session with a lot of exciting plans. She has a horse named Buddy that she’s been riding for years, so we were able to photograph her with him– we even took some photos of her applying purple paint to Buddy. So fun. We also went  deep into the woods, braving mosquitoes and poison ivy to photograph her with a chandelier hanging from a tree. She was up for anything… such a great session!

Devin — 2011 Edina High School Senior

I photographed Devin near the Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis. It was a really fun session, Devin was very laid back and a natural in front of the camera. And I always love going to new locations… you never know where the road might take you. We ended up driving around the lakes, stopping when I’d see a great place to shoot. Great fun!

Kat — 2010 Columbia Heights High School Senior

I photographed Kat around the Stone Arch Bridge area… it was a fun way to kick off the senior photography season. What a gorgeous day (and an amazing spring!).

Photos for Haiti — Day 1

This last weekend we photographed sessions at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis to raise money for Haiti (February 13th and 14th). After all is said and done, we anticipate money raised to be between $2,000 and $3,000. Thanks so much to everyone who booked a session! Check out the organization that the proceeds will go to: http://www.worldvision.org.

Here is a sneak peek for the first day we photographed… we’ll be posting another blog post for Day 2 soon:

Blog Update…

So, we’re finally getting back into blogging mode. Getting to know our little one and getting used to being a family of 5 has been so great. We’ve taken some time to do that, with a few photo sessions here and there. We appreciate all of your patience and support as we’ve made this transition and your continuing support as we get back into the swing of things!

We put together a few of our favorite photos from sessions we’ve done since our blogging hiatus. This post is a range of baby, family, engagement and kid sessions.

Happy 2010!

Diana — 2010 Simley High School Senior

I photographed Diana at Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. It was a lovely day, and we had a lot of fun… Diana has some awesome style; it was fun featuring the boots, scarves and outfits that she brought along!

Brittany — 2010 Simley High School Senior

Brittany’s session was at Como Park and Como Lake in St. Paul. We were really fortunate to have a sunny evening for our session, especially because the days surrounding her shoot were rainy and cold!

Caitlin — 2010 Simley High School Senior

I photographed Caitlin at Minnehaha Falls Park in Minneapolis. It was a very chilly and windy day, but she was a trooper and managed to look nice and warm in all of the photos. We were there during some of the best light of the day… it was such a fun session!
