Baby Aiden

I had a great time photographing Aiden. He is about 3 weeks old, and such a sweetie. I had a lot of fun bringing out my macro lens while he was sleeping, and got some close-ups of his ear, hand, etc… I think those little details are so precious! I had a tough time narrowing down my favorites with this shoot, so I included a few more than I normally do. Enjoy!

Hamline Alumni Gatherings

I recently photographed the Hamline University alumni gatherings at the Town and Country Club in St. Paul and the Minneapolis Club. These are great events for Hamline grads to get together to socialize and network outside of the standard class reunions. I had a lot of fun looking for nice moments to photograph.

Baby Noah

I loved taking photos of Noah! He was so sweet and sleepy, which is always nice for a newborn session. Thank you, guys, for inviting me into your home to capture a little slice of life. You have a beautiful son! Congratulations!

Special Olympics Swimming

I got to spend a couple hours this week photographing some of the coolest people I’ve ever met for the Special Olympics. It was their 2009 Spring Games and I did pictures during the swimming competition. What amazing people, both the competitors and the volunteers. I love the wonderful emotion and dedication I saw that day. If anyone has an opportunity to go to one of their events, or volunteer/donate in some way, I’d highly recommend it.

You can see the full shoot and buy prints here: http://ctryanclients.com/cart/. 100% of the proceeds go the the Special Olympics Minnesota.

Madi – 1 Year

We’ve had a great year taking pictures of Madi! She was on our newborn, 3, 6, 9, and 1-year picture plan and we’ve had so much fun being her photographers. We took these photos at Madi’s first birthday party and though there was a little bit of chaos (think 15 sugared-up kids running around, hunting Easter eggs) it was really a fantastic time.

Baby Emiliana

Yesterday I was able to photograph 10 day old Emiliana… she is lovely! Thank you guys for opening your home and allowing me to capture your wonderful family with my camera!

Campus Crusade

I was having flashbacks to 3rd grade picture day when I did these shots for Campus Crusade for Christ’s annual briefing conference. I guess there were a few differences though…
1 – I didn’t use that little string thing attached to the camera that I remember them holding up to my chin when you sit down (what was that anyway?).
2 – I popped a breath mint about every 20 shots to avoid the dreaded portrait day photographer stale coffee breath.
3 – I had a really great time meeting and talking to a bunch of awesome students doing amazing things with their lives.
